Effective October 10, 2026.
PuzzleKite does not have accounts. You can play and print without giving a name, an email, or a password.
What stays on your device
A puzzle you play can be saved in this browser's local storage. The save is the marks on the grid, undo history, the timer, how many times Check found a rule break, how many hints you used, and whether the puzzle is solved. It is tied to that puzzle's game, size, difficulty, and seed. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes it. PuzzleKite does not keep a copy of your board.
This browser can also keep a few preferences: whether errors are highlighted, whether sound is on, whether the timer is shown, and auto-cross on Nonograms and on Slitherlink.
If a custom pack's script fails to load, this tab may keep a timestamp for about a minute so Generate can try once after a reload. That flag is removed when it is read.
Printable packs
A PDF you generate, one grid or a custom pack, is built in your browser. It is not uploaded. Ready-made packs are files the site already hosts. Downloading one of those is an ordinary file request, and it does not include a grid you just made.
Google Analytics
On puzzlekite.com and www.puzzlekite.com, the page loads Google Analytics 4, measurement id G-CS61T5MVYR. We use it to understand traffic: which pages people open, and events such as starting a puzzle, finishing one, using a hint, generating a pack, or downloading a PDF. Those events name the game, and often the size and the difficulty. A finished puzzle also includes how long it took, how many times Check found a rule break, and how many hints. There is still no account behind those numbers.
The Analytics script does not load on other hosts, including localhost and preview sites, or in an automated browser. PuzzleKite does not set its own cookies, and there is no cookie banner. Google's script may store cookies. ReadGoogle's privacy policy.
