Press Generate to build 8 puzzles in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and you can page through every puzzle and answer page here before you download.
How does the pack builder work?
Everything happens on your device. When you press Generate, your browser creates each Tapa grid from the pack seed, solves it to make the answer key, and lays the pages out as a PDF. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account. Four 6×6 or 7×7 grids share a sheet, and two 8×8 or 10×10 grids share a sheet. A 12×12 grid has the sheet to itself. Tick Large print if you want one big grid per page. Every size comes in easy, medium, and hard. Each puzzle prints with its number and seed, so answers line up even when you keep them in a separate PDF. The same seed and settings always give the same puzzles. Use Copy share link to send a class or a friend the exact same pack, or press shuffle for a fresh set.

About these Tapa packs
Print a Tapa pack and solve it with a pencil. Shade some cells so they form one wall that touches at the sides, and leave no solid 2×2 of shaded cells. A number in a cell lists the lengths of the shaded groups in the ring around that cell. The ring is the eight cells around it, or fewer when the cell sits on the edge. Groups are separated by white cells, and the numbers are written from smallest to largest. A 0 means every neighbour stays white. The clue cell itself stays white. A dot means you already know that cell is white. The answer key fills shaded cells that are not clues and does not print dots. Each file is a black-and-white booklet. Puzzle pages show the grid and the numbers. The answer key starts on its own page. Packs cover 6×6, 7×7, 8×8, and 10×10, plus print-only 12×12, at easy, medium, and hard. A 6×6 or 7×7 sheet holds four puzzles. An 8×8 or 10×10 sheet holds two. A 12×12 sheet holds one. Tick Large print for one big grid per page. Seeds are fixed, so the same download always has the same grids. Each single pack has eight puzzles, and the starter pack has one puzzle from each band. To try one grid on screen first, open Tapa and use Print or Download PDF there.
